Firefox 3.7起将更新界面 官方否认抄袭Chrome
稍早曾经曝光的firefox新界面的设计样式已经被Mozilla批准，将会用在Firefox 3.7以及4.0的更新中。新界面隐藏了菜单栏，将停止按钮和刷新按钮合二为一。Mozilla还可能会对书签功能进行革新，将现在的书签菜单和书签工具栏合并为一个小工具（Widget）。在3.7推出之后，接下来4.0版本将会继续对界面进行修改，而且合并地址栏和搜索框。其他变化就是标签栏会像Chrome一样挪到顶部。Mozilla表示自己没有抄袭Chrome或是其他浏览器。
Mozilla强调，为了在新版系统上让自己的界面不显得过时，及时更新界面是必要的。在Windows Vista和Windows 7上，Firefox的界面显得臃肿不堪，而且不支持Aero Glass特效，图标也和整体效果格格不入。
Mozilla表示自己没有抄袭Chrome或是其他浏览器，指出因为浏览器要解决的问题都是类似的，因此出现设计上的撞车在所难免。Chrome、 Firefox和Safari都基于类似的开源引擎搭建，他们唯一需要比拼的地方就是界面和用户体验。Mozilla表示，“好的值得借鉴的东西就应该为己所用，firefox已经有很多独创的成果应用在浏览器中。”
Mozilla也在试图改善其他各平台上Firefox的界面问题，比如Linux版本也会有类似的标签栏置于顶部的变化。至于Mac版本，变化则相对要小一点。Mozilla将会借鉴最新应用于iTunes 9的加亮型皮肤效果。官方表示Mac版本的Firefox并不需要像“过时的”Windows版本那样做出如此巨大的改动。
